The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad got pumped-up with the Academy Award winner AR Rahman and Bollywood energy Ranveer Singh dazzling the crowd to draw curtains on the IPL 2022 in style today ahead of the final match between the two neighbouring states, Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals.

The closing ceremony had begun at 6:25 and both AR Rahman and Ranveer Singh geared up to enthral the crowd. The singer had sung Lagaan’s ‘Baar Baar Haan’, ‘Jai Ho, ‘Rang De Basanti’. He started with the iconic ‘Vande Mataram’ and got the crowd up on its feet.

While Ranveer Singh was high on adrenaline throughout the 15 mintues and shook the whole stadium with his biggest Bollywood super hits. He did the KGF number as well. He begin his performance with ‘Jeetega Jeetega’ song from 83 which is his new movie, a biopic of the legendary Kapil Dev.

Two neighbours to go face to face; Jos Buttler vs Rashid Khan

Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans dominated the league and finished top of the points-table with 10 wins from 14 matches and Rajasthan were second with nine wins. Both the teams had faced each other in Qualifier 1 and Gujarat emerged victorious by seven wickets. Gujarat Titans was in phenomenon form in the league matches and had won both the matches against Rajasthan Royals in the league matches.

It will be interesting to see Rashid Khan versus Jos Buttler. In 6 matches, Rashid Khan had dismissed Buttler 4 times. And as Rajasthan had won the toss and chose to bat, Buttler’s dismissal would cost Rajasthan a lot since RR is heavily depended on this English batsman.
