Three teams had already secured their playoffs berth. They were Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Supergiants. Two teams, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals were unsure of playing furthur matches or not. But yesterday’s match between DC and Mumbai Indians cleared everything. MI had defeated DC by 5 wickets on Saturday, May 21 at the Wankhede Stadium and the result of which helped RCB players dance with joy.

DC had 14 points and RCB played all of their matches and had 16 points. The last match of DC with MI was to decide everything. If DC had won the match, they would have easily qualified for the playoffs with 16 points but with a superior net run rate. But Jasprit Bumrah’s 3-wicket haul and Tim David‘s 34 off 11 shattered Delhi’s hopes.

Bangalore fans and players’s joy have reached the sky as they must have thinking of getting inched closer to maiden IPL trophy. The franchise shared pictures of its players including Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis celebrating Mumbai’s win.
