For the Rohit Sharma fans, seeing Hardik Pandya lose Mumbai Indians’ (MI) first match as captain was a relief. A lot happened before this IPL. While the franchise claimed that everything was alright in the camp, fans were not ready to believe them.
Then the two cryptic posts by Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah around the time when Pandya was made the captain fueld the rumors. And when MI head coach Mark Boucher explained why the franchise went for Pandya for the leadership role, Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh commented that so many things were wrong with that.

Fans were waiting for the first match of MI to see how Sharma plays under Pandya. The first match was against Gujarat Titans on Sunday (March 25) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. More than the match, fans were entertained by how the two players interacted with each other.
One of the videos that quickly went viral was about Pandya shouting at Sharma to leave the 30-yard circle and field near the boundary line. And though it’s very common for a captain to change fielding positions, it was Sharma’s reactions that became one of the highlights of the match.
Also during their fielding, animated discussions between Pandya, Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah also left fans scratching their heads. Pandya looked a bit befuddled and when he went away, Bumrah and Sharma continued to engage in animated chat.
