The outfield at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala once again became a talking point during the ongoing 2023 ODI World Cup. India captain Rohit Sharma became a victim of the poor outfield while fielding and almost injured himself on Sunday (October 22) during Team India’s fifth group stage match against New Zealand.

The incident happened on the last ball of the 10th over of New Zealand‘s innings. Rohit attempted to save the ball from rolling toward the boundary ropes. During that action, he ended up hurting his right hand and immediately left the field. Thankfully, the Indian skipper returned to the field later.
