India spearhead Jasprit Bumrah’s swing scared the English batters and they got all out on just 110. India crushed them by 1-0 lead by winning the match by 10 wickets in the three-match ODI series at The Oval in London on Tuesday, July 12.
But when India was batting, India captain Rohit Sharma was in the mood to hit sixes and fours to finish the game quickly. But the play was stopped briefly after Rohit’s flat six hit a young girl in the crowd. The incident took place in India’s fifth over. Rohit unleashed his favourite pull shot from David Wiley’s delivery. The ball had connected the middle of the bat skied flat towards the crowd.
But when the six was signalled, the camera was panned towards the crowd where a man was seen rubbing his daughter’s back which wah being hit by Rohit’s hit. The cricketers then took a moment to check if everything was right and stopped the play for a few second.
Ravi Shastri and Atherton said on air: “It seems someone in the crowd may have gotten hit by this six from Rohit Sharma. Fingers crossed…nobody is hurt.” To which Shastri said, “Yes, looks that way. The way Rohit is looking towards the area, he might have got the message it’s probaby hit someone.
The camera againe panned on the same direction and there was another man consoling the child. Even a couple of medic were seen running along the boundary ropes but thankfully everything was alright and the game didn’t delay for long.

Jasprit Bumrah scalps six wickets
Jasprit Bumrah scalped six wickets and conceded just 19 runs which made him the first bowler with this figures in England. Also, this was his personal best in ODI. After the bowling department did their job perfectly, the batting department didn’t stay behind. Rohit and Shikhar Dhawan added a 100+ partnership between them and reached the target easily.
