For most Indian cricket enthusiasts, one burning question is whether star youngster Shubman Gill is dating Sachin Tendulkar‘s daughter Sara Tendulkar. So the visuals of Sara clapping after boundary hits of Gill against Bangladesh on Thursday (October 19) at the MCA Stadium in Pune are bound to attract attention, meaning, social media will be filled with fans’ reactions and memes.
During the seventh over, Gill smashed a boundary and when the camera focused on Sara who was sitting in the stands, she could be seen clapping in joy. Gill later scored his half-century with the help of five boundaries and two sixes.

From 55 balls, he scored 53 runs at a strike rate of 96.36. This was his first fifty of this World Cup. He missed playing the first two matches against Australia and Afghanistan due to dengue. And though he played against Pakistan, he could contribute just 16 runs.
Fans react to Sara Tendulkar clapping for Shubman Gill’s shots
There are rumors that the two are secretly dating. On Valentine’s Day this year, Shubman Gill posted a picture of a restaurant, and later, netizens dug out an old picture of Sara Tendulkar posing at a restaurant whose background looks the same as the restaurant where Gill clicked his picture.

Then there were rumors of a breakup, that Gill, after parting ways with Sara started dating Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan because there was a viral video where Gill was seen having dinner with Sara. For fans, this was hilarious, given that Gill has been associated with girls sharing the same first name.
But during the match against Bangladesh, fans said it’s confirmed that the two are indeed dating. Some fans found it funny that the cameraman keeps an eye on everything happening in cricket, which is why he shifted his focus on Sara after Gill’s shots.

Talking about the match, India are driving toward their fourth win of this ODI World Cup. They need around 100 runs 29 overs and with many wickets left, an easy win is expected. Bangladesh have posted 256/8 with the help of combined batting efforts, including two half-centuries from the openers.
