Yashasvi Jaiswal was the star of the third Test against England. At the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot, Jaiswal converted his century to his second double ton.
On Day 4 of the match, Jaiswal was batting at 199* and was seen desperate to reach his 200. But his batting partner and debutant Sarfaraz Khan calmed his nerves. “Itna mehnat kiya hu. (I have worked so hard,” said Jaiswal. And Sarfaraz’s response was, “Aage bhagna matt, ho jayega Yashu. (Don’t run, you’ll score).

Sarfaraz scored his second half-century (72-ball 68), while Jaiswal scored 216 runs from 236 balls.

That 216* runs was his second double century in just six matches after his debut in 2023 against West Indies. Jaiswal also said that Test cricket is hard but he tries to bat session by session.
The fourth Test will start on February 23 in Ranchi. It will be interesting to see how Jaiswal plays in that match.
