On Day 3 of the fifth Test between India and England, the players of the two teams exchanged a few heated words. This happened when England were batting in their second innings on Saturday (March 9) at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala.
England were at 90/3 after the end of the 17th over, with Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow at the crease. It seemed Bairstow started the altercation when he asked Shubman Gill what he had said to James Anderson about getting tired (or retired).
Bairstow reminded Gill that Anderson was the one who dismissed him. In response, Gill said Anderson dismissed him after his century.
What did you say to Jimmy about getting tired, and he got you after that?Bairstow asked Gill
So what, it was after the 100th. How many have you got here?Gill responded
To this, Bairstow asked the No.3 batter how many centuries he scored in England. Sarfaraz Khan also joined in and gave a brutal response to Bairstow, but in Hindi, which the English batter did not understand.
Chup baithne bol usko. Thoda sa run kya banadiya jyada uchhal raha hain (Ask him to sit quietly. Scored just some runs and he started jumping).Khan said

Shubman Gill scored his second ton but Jonny Bairstow couldn’t score a 50 in this series
That century in the first innings was Shubman Gill’s fourth Test century. He took 150 balls to score 110 runs with 12 boundaries and five sixes before James Anderson bowled him out.
That century was also the 24-year-old’s second century of the series. His first came in the second Test in the second innings, where he scored 104 runs.
Jonny Bairstow, on the other hand, is yet to reach the 40-run mark in the series. Before the fifth Test, he could score just 37, 10, 25, 26, duck, four, 38, and 30 in the previous four Tests. In this match, the English batter scored 29 and 39 in the two innings respectively.
