Sarfaraz Khan‘s father, Naushad Khan, issued a statement warning budding cricketers to not become victims of social media frauds impersonating him. Naushad has always been a pillar of support in Sarfaraz’s life and has done the job of coach as well.

Naushad has gained praise across the Indian cricket fraternity owing to his hard work behind the scenes. Sarfaraz’s brother, Musheer Khan, also is garnering attention due to his performance in the domestic circuit.

Naushad, while giving a warning about the fake social media profiles that are trying to lure the young cricket enthusiasts, requested them to work hard.

On my name, a lot of people have made fake accounts on Facebook and Instagram. On the pretext of getting entry into the IPL as net bowlers, or for state and academy selection, those accounts are asking kids for money.
Naushad said in a video posted on X
I request you to not believe them and trust your own hard work. I am not associated with any IPL team, and neither am I coaching anywhere. Please don't believe them. Thank you so much!

Sarfaraz Khan’s performance in the Test series against England

After a long wait, Sarfaraz Khan’s dream of playing for India was fulfilled when he received his Test cap in the third Test against England in Rajkot. Already a big name on the domestic circuit, Sarfaraz was ignored consistently by the selectors due to fitness issues.

But as senior players like Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are not playing in the series, Sarfaraz finally got the chance. In his debut match, he scored his half-century (62) and smashed another fifty in the second innings (68*).

However, he failed to impress in Ranchi, where he scored 14 in the first innings and registered his first golden duck in international cricket in the second innings. He will next play in the fifth Test scheduled on March 7 in Dharamshala.
