Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been known for his very short temper. He has been involved in many verbal spats with opponents and umpires. After the controversial dismissal of Sri Lanka’s Angelo Mathews via timed out, videos of Shakib not adhering to rules himself have gone viral. In 2023 he went on field and argued with the umpires after a disagreement. A few months later a video of  him hitting a fan with his cap went viral as well.

But many would argue that his most iconic disagreement with an umpire occurred in 2021. While playing for Mohammedan Sporting Club in the Dhaka Premier League, he showed no control of his emotions. After appealing for the wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim, the umpire decided to not give the wicket. In anger, the Bangladesh captain kicked the stumps.
