In another picture, shared by YouTuber Tanmay Bhatt, he can be seen sharing a laugh with the singer-songwriter and Shubman Gill. While in another picture, Sheeran could be seen playing cricket.

Well, in fact, it was Gill who was bowling to Sheeran while Bhatt, it seems, became the wicketkeeper. When Gill bowled it, the ‘Galway Girl‘ singer failed to connect the ball, the video of which has been widely circulated by fans on X and Instagram.

Ravichandran Ashwin says Shubman Gill was uncomfortable while fielding at short mid-wicket

India recently hammered England in a five-match Test series 4-1. Shubman Gill scored two centuries after coming out to bat at No. 3, ending the series as the second-highest run-scorer.

His teammate, the veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, praised him for his fielding efforts on his YouTube channel. Gill was positioned at the short mid-wicket where Virat Kohli used to stand to field against the spinners. Ashwin said Gill looked uncomfortable at first but tried to improve it as the series progressed.

Short mid-wicket is Virat Kohli's position. It is very difficult to replace him. Virat and (Suresh) Raina (Shubman) Gill started off there in the first Test, and he looked very uncomfortable. By the final Test, he got it. He also took a catch of (Ben) Duckett on from the covers. It shows that he wants to improve his game on a day-to-day basis, and he's working on it.
Ashwin said on his YouTube channel

Gill ended the series by scoring his second century (110) of the series. In nine innings, the 24-year-old scored 452 runs. He will next play in the 2024 IPL.
