Team India has arrived in Trinidad for the second Test of the two-match series against West Indies. Ahead of the Test, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill were spotted shopping for dark chocolates at the Trinidad airport.

In the video that surfaced on Twitter, Gill was busy talking with the shopkeeper. Kishan could be heard saying: “Yaha khana accha nahi hain (The food is not good here)”.

Both Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill couldn’t do much in the first Test despite India’s victory by an innings and 141 runs. Kishan could score just one run on his debut before India declared the innings. Gill, who came to bat at No.3, could just add six runs.

Shubman Gill, undoubtedly, is a rising star and has cemented his place in the playing XI across all the formats. His incredible performances have garnered him praise from all corners and now former India spinner Harbhajan Singh lavished his praise on the youngster.

“His hunger makes him different from the other players because he has the belief to do something and become something,” Harbhajan said during an interaction with News24 Sports. Harbhajan also praised his father’s hard work and said Gill can only repay the work his father has put in by playing for India for 15-20 years. Harbhajan feels Gill’s father will be satisfied if his son becomes India’s captain one day.

Meanwhile, Gill asked coach Rahul Dravid to be given the No.3 spot after the management chose to drop veteran Cheteshwar Pujara from the Test side for the West Indies series. Debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal opened alongside Rohit Sharma and slammed his century and though Gill was expected to score runs as a No. 3 batter, he could add just six runs. It will be interesting to watch how he plays in the second Test.
