A man from Tamil Nadu claimed that was denied entry to Virat Kohli‘s One8 Commune restaurant in Mumbai’s Juhu. The man wore a veshti and shared a video of him standing in front of the restaurant.

He claimed the reason why he couldn’t enter the restaurant was due to the outfit he was wearing. In his video which garnered over one million views, he could be heard saying he landed in Mumbai and went to his hotel, JW Marriott. After this, he went straight to Kohli’s One8 Commune.

He then claimed that the staff at the restaurant stopped him from entering the restaurant as he was wearing a veshti which was not in accordance with the restaurant’s dress code.

After going viral, the video triggered mixed reactions from fans. Some fans asked why should restaurants have dress codes when in the hospitality industry the customer is king. Some defended Kohli saying he wasn’t responsible for what happened there but the staff were responsible. Some slammed the user for sharing it on social media to gain views instead of talking with the hotel’s manager.

AB de Villiers warns South Africa of Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli is currently enjoying his break after playing in the 2023 ODI World Cup. He won’t join the Men in Blue for the white-ball series in South Africa.

The Delhi-born batter will make his comeback when India will lock horns with the Proteas for a two-match Test series. Ahead of the series, former South Africa captain AB de Villiers warned South Africa to be careful against his former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammate.

We will see the best of Virat Kohli against South Africa. He will be at his aggressive best in the series. South Africa will have to be careful against him as he is a big player and the whole Indian squad is world-class.

Kohli had a great World Cup campaign as he crossed 700 runs (765), and later collected the Player of the Series award. He also broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most centuries (50) in ODIs.
