To celebrate 75 years of Independence Day, the Ministry of Culture posted a video of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ anthem video which features popular figures including the likes of Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Kapil Dev, Anupam Kher, and Asha Bhonsle. ‘Har Ghar Titanga’ is a campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav which encourages people to bring the Tiranga home and hosit it to celebrate the precious day.

The Ministry of Culture posted the video with the caption:

“Har Ghar Tiranga…Ghar Ghar Tiranga…celebrate our Tiranga with this melodious salute to our Tricolour, the symbol of our collective Pride & Unity as our Nation completes 75 years of independence. #HarGharTiranga #AmritMahotsav.”

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a mass celebration

The video shows India’s diversity and strength, sports, missle launches, army and the beautiful culture of India. Amitabh Bachchan has lent his voice while Prabhas is the only male actor from South India who was spotted in the video. Virat Kohli and wife Anushka Sharma were also spotted in the video. Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, Mithali Raj, Mary Kom, PV Sindhu, Neeraj Chopra among others were also seen in the video. At the end of the video, you can see PM Narendra Modi.

The PM urged the citizens to turn the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign into a mass celebration by hoisting the national flag at their homes and use the word ‘Tiranga’ to upload pictures of their social media between August 2 and August 15 to celebrate the day.

“Under the Azadi Ka Amirt Mahotsav, from the 13th to the 15th of August, a special movement- ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is being organized. Let us further this movement by hoisting the National Flag at our homes,” said the PM on Sunday while addressing the monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
