India and South Africa are locking horns in the Boxing Day Test match at the SuperSport Stadium in Centurian. During South Africa’s first innings, Virat Kohli‘s antics caught the attention of the fans on Wednesday (December 27).
During the 29th over, Kohli moved the bails, and two balls later, Jasprit Bumrah gave India their second wicket. Tony de Zorzi got a thick edge off Bumrah’s length ball, and it went straight onto Yashasvi Jaiswal‘s hands at third slip. De Zorzi could score 28 runs from 62 balls, which also included five boundaries.
The incident became an instant hit among the fans and the video started doing rounds on social media platforms. Kohli could be seen pumped up after the wicket and celebrating the way he usually does.

The match on Day 2 ended after a delay due to bad lights. India posted 245 runs after KL Rahul’s gritty innings as he scored 101 runs from 137 balls under pressure. His knock also had 14 boundaries and four sixes.
South Africa are now leading by 11 runs, and they will start Day 3 at 256/5 with Dean Elgar and Marco Jansen at the crease. Elgar scored a brilliant 140 runs from 211 runs, while Jansen scored three runs so far from 13 balls.
Batting coach Vikram Rathour says Virat Kohli doesn’t need a lot of practice
Virat Kohli left the training camp to meet his wife Anushka Sharma and even missed an intra-squad match in Pretoria. Team India batting coach Vikram Rathour, after the game on Day 1, said Kohli doesn’t need a lot of batting practice at this stage.

He added that it’s not really a problem if Kohli misses his training session before the matches because he bats and trains a lot. Notably, before the first Test, Kohli did one net session on the Chrisman Eve, and on the match day, he scored 38 runs from 64 balls with five boundaries.
