[Watch] – Virat Kohli gestures the crowd to chant RCB as they eliminate Lucknow to reach Qualifier 2 of IPL 2022

Royal Challengers Bangalore beat the Lucknow Super Giants last night in the eliminator of IPL 2022. RCB will now face the Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 while Lucknow are officially eliminated from IPL 2022. The win was a result of superb all round performance by the Royal Challengers Bangalore and especially, Batsman Rajat Patidar who become only RCB’s 6th batsman to score a century for the franchise.
Rajat Pataidar’s 54 ball 112 and Dinesh Kartik’s 23 ball 37 helped RCB put up a huge total of 207 in the first innings. Lucknow Captain, KL Rahul put up a good fight but his 79 went in vain as RCB won the game by 14 runs and moved a step close to the finals. During the game, former Bangalore Captain, Virat Kohli was seen urging the crowd to chant for his team as they inched closer to victory.

With the victory, Royal Challengers Bangalore will now face Sanju Samson led Rajasthan Royals next. Rajasthan lost the Qualifier 1 to Gujarat Titans, but they will get second shot for a place in the finals against Royals Challengers Bangalore. RCB seemed to be back in Red Hot form, they just need their opening pair, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli to give them a good start against RR.
Qualifier 2 will be held at the Narendra Modi stadium. This is the first time the stadium will host an IPL game. Virat Kohli will be eager to perform following a disappointing league season. While Kohli seems to be getting back in form. Kohli hasn’t performed well against the Rajasthan Royals this season. However, he will hop ehe has the crowd at the Narendra Modi stadium as well to back him and his team as they aim to reach the finals of IPL for the first time since 2016.
