Virat Kohli was in pristine touch as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) took on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a must-win game on Thursday. The RCB opening batter took no time to launch a scathing attack on the SRH bowlers as Kohli hit four boundaries off the first nine deliveries he played. The 34-year-old then built on the momentum and kept finding boundaries with ease. Kohli also hit his 6th IPL century on Thursday.  

Such was Kohli’s acceleration that Faf du Plessis had to hold back. The RCB stalwart soon reached his half-century off 35 balls. But it was not over for the chase master yet. Virat Kohli had a set target in his mind- to take RCB home. In the process, the former RCB skipper scored his sixth IPL ton and that too with a six. 

While Kohli reached his half-century with a boundary, the RCB batter hit Bhuvneshwar Kumar for a six over long-on to reach the three-figure mark. As Kumar bowled a good length delivery on the middle and leg stump, Kohli nonchalantly lifted the ball with a straight bat over the long-on boundary for a maximum.
