WATCH: Virat Kohli gifts signed India jersey to Pak pacer Haris Rauf after match

Former India captain Virat Kohli signed his jersey and gifted it to Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf after the blockbuster Asia Cup 2022 match between India and Pakistan on Sunday, August 28 at the Dubai International Stadium.

Rohit Sharma’s Men in Blue defeated Babar Azam’s side by five wickets, avenging last year’s 10-wicket loss. In a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Twitter, Kohli could be seen having some chat with Rauf before signing him his national jersey.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli was able to score 35 runs off 34 balls and had stitched a half-century run partnership with Rohit Sharma. He and Ravindra Jadeja were the high-scorers for India yesterday. Kohli was suffering from rough patch for the past couple of months. But in his 100th T20, he had shown signs of return. But former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria believes Kohli flopped again.

“Virat Kohli – all eyes were on him. He flopped again. At the starting, he faced difficulty. There were quite a few inside edges. Unfortunately, KL Rahul got bowled after getting an inside edge,” Kaneria, who played 61 Tests and 18 ODIs for Pakistan, said in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel.

“Kohli got out while trying to go inside-out over the extra-cover against a left-arm spinner. While he does play that shot very well, but somebody told me that when he used to play with Sachin Tendulkar, the latter noticed that Kohli was getting out to that shot and advised him to stop playing that shot. That same thing is is happening with Kohli,” Kaneria added.

“Kohli was lucky as he was almost out on the second delivery itself. He was lucky that Fakhar Zaman couldn’t hold on to the catch off Naseem Shah. He played just one good shot during his innings. Other than that he did not play good shots. He will have to score runs.”
