WATCH: Virat Kohli hits a gigantic six against Nitish Reddy in SRH vs RCB, Faf du Plessis’ reaction goes viral
With a playoff spot on the line, Virat Kohli rose to the challenger and scored fifty off 35 balls.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli looked in stupendous touch during his team’s game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). As RCB were chasing a target of 186 with one eye on playoff qualification, Kohli came all guns blazing right from the ball go. The RCB opener hit two consecutive boundaries against Bhuvneshwar Kumar to get going.
Kohli then hit two boundaries against Abhishek Sharma to build on the momentum. The RCB stalwart then kept going and scored boundaries with ease. Even with Faf du Plessis going strong at the other end, Kohli did not slow down. In fact, he did not drop his shoulders even after the powerplay overs.
The RCB batter was looking for boundaries on every delivery he faced. Amid the search for boundaries, Kohli hit a gigantic six against Nitish Reddy on the first ball of the ninth over of the RCB innings. As Reddy bowled a short-of-length delivery on the middle stump, Kohli lifted the ball nonchalantly over deep midwicket.

On the other hand, Faf du Plessis also continues his merry run as the RCB skipper scored his eighth half-century of the season. The duo stitched another century opening partnership for RCB in IPL 2023.
