During the 2nd Test match between South Africa and India, Mohammed Siraj picked up his 3rd Test fifer. He picked up the wickets of Aiden Markram, Dean Elgar, Tony de Zorzi, David Bedingham, Kyle Verryene and Marco Jansen. He had made all of his earlier victims edge the ball to either the slip cordon or the keeper.
Having bowled 7 overs in a row, Siraj asked Rohit to give him another one. In the 2nd ball of his over, he got Bedingham. In came Marco Jansen. The tall batter had scored a vital half-century in the previous Test which gave them the win. In the first two balls he faced, he played with ease.

Before Siraj bowled the next ball, Virat Kohli signaled something to him. The former Indian captain instructed Siraj to make Jansen commit his front foot so that he could move the ball away and possibly make him nick it.
The pacer did exactly that, bowling the ball a bit full and making Jansen play on the front foot. Moving the ball away, the ball edged his bat and flew to Yashasvi Jaiswal at third slip.
India bowled out for 153, get lead of 98
India started batting right after lunch, as they bowled out South Africa for 55 in the first session. The opening partnership didn’t last long, as Jaiswal was bowled for a duck. Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma put up a partnership of 55, but the captain departed for 39. Gill and Kohli tried rebuilding the innings, but Gill lasted only 23 balls more. Shreyas Iyer went for a 2 ball duck and Kohli was forced to lead the innings, while KL Rahul tried settling.

What followed was one of the shortest batting collapses of all time, as India lost their last 6 wickets in a span of 11 balls. Lungi Ngidi, who had earlier gone run-a-ball, picked up the wickets of KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah in one over, with the last two being ducks. Kagiso Rabada continued the demolition in the very next over, as he got Kohli and Prasidh Krishna in the same over. Siraj ran out after a misunderstanding with Krishna. India managed a lead of 98 runs.
