Former India captain Virat Kohli is known for his intense fitness routine which has not failed him on the field either while catching or stealing runs. And on Independence Day, when the whole nation is celebrating the auspicious day, the swashbuckling star took to social media to show a glimpse of his vigorous workout.
Kohli showed his humorous side of him and wrote: “Chutti hain fir bhi bhaagna toh padega (It’s holiday still have to run)“. As always, Kohli’s video did not take much time to circulate on social media with fans coming up with mixed reactions.
Watch the video below:
Kohli is preparing himself for the forthcoming 2023 Asia Cup, starting on August 30. He was rested by the management for the recently-concluded T20I series against West Indies to manage his workload but that doesn’t mean the talismanic batter is holidaying a lot, as one can guess by watching his latest Twitter post.
Virat Kohli doesn’t care for a record anymore, feels Robin Uthappa
When Virat Kohli arrived on the scene and started scoring runs at a faster rate, many had expected him to surpass the legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s record. The Master Blaster has left behind a nearly unreachable record, including his 100 centuries.
Kohli has so far scored 76 international centuries and if he had not gone through that horrible lean patch, he would have been on the cusp of breaking Tendulkar’s record. But he won’t be caring for milestones now, feels former India batter Robin Uthappa.
“Virat Kohli doesn’t really care about breaking records any more. We as people and fans are obsessed with it,” Uthappa said during a media interaction on Jio Cinema. He added that Kohli is focusing more on winning matches and is not paying heed to whether he scores his century.
Notably, Kohli will break Tendulkar’s ODI century record if he reaches the three-digit mark four more times. And it’s possible for him to cross the landmark either this year or the next year.
