During the rather one-sided first Test match between West Indies and India in Dominica, some interesting things happened at regular intervals thanks to the Indian players and their hilarious antics. Virat Kohli, though he did not look at his usual best with the, left fans in a split as he celebrated after smashing his first boundary off the 81st over.

A cover drive off Warrican took the ball to the boundary rope and an animated Kohli punched his fist in the air and looked toward the dressing room. He celebrated as if he slammed a ton or reached a huge milestone. This gesture from Kohli won the hearts of the netizens as the video immediately went viral.

Kohli scored 36* runs off 92 balls on Day 2. That boundary was the only one he smashed during his knock. He and Yashasvi Jaiswal will start Day 3.

Virat Kohli surpasses Virender Sehwag during his knock against West Indies

Kohli came out to bat after Shubman Gill (6). Gill started as an opener but his knock as a No. 3 batter did not go as planned.

However, when Kohli reached 25, he did reach a landmark. He became the fifth-highest run-scorer for India in Tests and surpassed the legendary Virender Sehwag as well. The 34-year-old is behind Sachin Tendulkar (15, 921), Rahul Dravid (13, 265), Sunil Gavaskar (10,122), and VVS Laxman (8,781).

Yashasvi Jaiswal, the debutant, stole the show when he smashed his ton. He will open Day 3 from his 143* runs and is on the verge of scoring 150 as well as a double century.

India have bundled out the hosts for a mere 150 runs. Jaiswal’s century and captain Rohit Sharma‘s 103 runs took helped India reach a formidable 312/2 on Day 2.
