Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli won the hearts of fans with his gesture ahead of his team’s match against Delhi Capitals on Saturday evening. As RCB took on Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Kohli got to meet his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma and the former India captain wasted no time in bowing down before Sharma.
As soon as Kohli spotted Sharma at the stadium before the match got underway, he went to his coach and touched his feet as per the Indian tradition. Meanwhile, Sharma looked touched by this gesture from his former student as he sported a broad smile all the while.
The fans, meanwhile, were left in awe of Kohli who still maintained this healthy ‘Guru-Shishya’ bond with Sharma after all these years. Most of those who saw the video could not hold themselves back from praising the former India skipper.

Kohli has another milestone to his name

While Virat Kohli stayed humble with his coach, the former RCB skipper was not so gentle in handling the DC bowlers. Opening the innings for RCB, Kohli caressed Khaleel Ahmed through covers for a boundary to open his account. Soon, the batter had another milestone in his bag. As Kohli nudged Axar Patel for a single in the fourth over of the RCB innings and became the first batter to cross 7000 runs in IPL history.
Notably, Kohli has scored 7010* runs in 232 matches with the help of five centuries and 49 half-centuries.
