Though the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) secured a thumping victory over Rajasthan Royals at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday (April 13), an incident during a match caught everyone’s eyes and took no time in going viral on the internet. RCB’s stand-in skipper Virat Kohli, who had a horrible outing with the bat, produced a romantic gesture for his wife Anushka Sharma who was in the stands.
This happened in the 14th over when Kohli grabbed an easy catch of Yashasvi Jaiswal off Harshal Patel‘s bowling. Right after catching it, Kohli turned back and blew a flying kiss to Anushka which left her blushing.

This is not the first time Kohli has publicly displayed his affection for Anushka. Called a ‘Power Couple’ by the media, they tied the knot in 2017 and welcomed their daughter Vamika in 2021.
Virat Kohli fell for a golden duck against RR
Though RCB won the match by seven runs, it was a day to forget for Kohli when it comes to his batting. Trent Boult made him his victim on the very first delivery of RCB’s innings. With this, Kohli departed for a golden duck.
But the most bizarre thing is that he has now scored three consecutive golden ducks on the same day. In the two seasons of IPL also, Kohli registered unwanted figures on April 23.
Before today’s game, the 34-year-old scored a golden duck in 2017 against Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) Nathan Coulter-Nile on April 23. Then last year also on April 23rd, he was dismissed for a first-ball duck off Marco Jansen‘s delivery.
On the last two occasions, RCB even scripted unwanted records. In 2017, they registered the lowest total of 49 all out, while in 2022, they collapsed to 68 runs. However, this time, they secured a victory by seven runs, thanks to the partnerships of Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell. Youngster Dhruv Jurel played a cameo of an unbeaten 34 off 16, but despite that, RR fell short of those seven runs.
