In a fun musical session, Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya and leg-spinner Rashid Khan joined a few teammates in singing the famous Tamil song “Why this Kolaveri Di” song.

Gujarat Titans franchise shared a video of their players having a good time. Their ‘band’ consisted of Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, Sai Sudharshan, Vijay Shankar, and R Sai Kishore. The ‘Kolaveri Di’ song had become a viral sensation in 2011 for the unique way in which it was performed by actor Dhanush.

Gujarat Titans will play their last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday, May 19 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. They have been sensational in their debut season; they are the table-toppers with 20 points from 13 matches in a 10-team tournament. They were also the first team to qualify for the playoffs.

“He has kept the team together”- Mohammed Shami lauds GT skipper Hardik Pandya

Recently, Gujarat’s senior pacer Mohammed Shami praised their skipper Hardik Pandya’s captaincy in this tournament. He said that Pandya has worked on controlling his emotions and has kept the side together.

After their win over Chennai Super Kings in their previous match yesterday, Shami stated:

“After he (Hardik) became captain, he has become more normal, his reactions have been tempered. I have advised him to control his emotions on the field because the entire world watch cricket. It is very important as a leader to be sensible, and understand situations and he has performed that role to perfection.”

He then talked about the changes he has observed in Pandya as a Gujarat Titans leader. He added:

“He (Hardik) has kept the team together. I have witnessed a lot of changes in him as a captain in comparison to a player. Every captain has a different temperament. Mahi (MS Dhoni) bhai was quiet, Virat was aggressive, Rohit leads according to match situations, so understanding Hardik’s mindset is not a rocket science.”
