Umpiring level in IPL
Meanwhile, in the match, Rajasthan Royals got off to a slow start. When Jaiswal walked out, the incident must have raised eyes about the standard of umpiring in a cash-rich league like IPL. Because of this, teams go upstairs for DRS.
Notably, Delhi Capitals had been knocked out of IPL against Mumbai Indians because of the wicket of Tim David. The umpire didn’t give the batter out and DC skipper Rishabh Pant also had to face criticism because he didn’t take the DRS. And because of this very decision, Tim David, who would have got dismissed by zero runs when on to score a match winning knock.
