“Watching KL bat is sh**tiest thing…,” Netizens get bored of KL Rahul’s batting, criticize LSG captain for sluggish knock
This sluggish knock from Rahul (39 off 32) finally ended when Jason Holder got the LSG captain caught at long-on.

KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) took on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 26th match of the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss and invited LSG to bat first. However, the opening pair of KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers looked clueless in the first six overs. While Rahul started the innings by playing a maiden over against Trent Boult, Mayers too could also do little.
The two batters could only score 37 runs in the first six overs. Mayers and Rahul scored four boundaries and a six in the powerplay on a pitch that looked like a belter to the experts. While the ball swung a bit in the first few overs, it was coming nicely onto the bat. But still, Rahul and Mayers continued to play conservative cricket.
This sluggish batting from the LSG openers attracted heavy criticism from the fans on Twitter. Even Kevin Pietersen could not hold himself back from criticizing Rahul for his conservative batting. “Watching KL Rahul bat in the powerplays is the most boring thing I have ever been through,” said Pietersen on air.

Holder gets Rahul, finally!

This sluggish knock from Rahul (39 off 32) finally ended when Jason Holder got the LSG captain caught at long-on. Jos Buttler took a simple catch as Rahul played a half-hearted shot. After Rahul got out, LSG management experimented and promoted Ayush Badoni but the experiment failed big time. The young batter could last only four balls, wherein he scored a solitary run.
Deepak Hooda also could not do much on his new home ground (Hooda plays for Rajasthan in the domestic circuit). The LSG all-rounder was dismissed by R Ashwin. The veteran off-spinner also cleaned up Kyle Mayers.
