India bowl first against Australia in WTC Final

Talking about the WTC Final, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first on a track where the pitch report said that bowling first will be helpful. Sharma was grinning ear to ear after he called it right at the toss. “We are going to bowl. Just the conditions and also the weather being overcast. I don’t think the pitch will change too much. You have to play good cricket and come out on top,” reckoned Sharma at the toss.
Meanwhile, once again, the playing XI for the one-off Test became a thing of debate. R Ashwin getting left out did not sit well with the fans. However, Sharma explained the move during the toss. “It’s always tough (to leave Ashwin), he’s been a match-winner for us over the course of so many years. But you got to do the things that’s needed for the team and eventually we came up with that decision,” said Rohit.
