Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni only plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Now, as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain successfully led his team to its fifth IPL title in IPL 2023, MS Dhoni is absent from mainstream media yet again. His fans might be wondering where is the CSK captain now and what is he doing.
For them, Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni has shared a major update. Sakshi shared a video on Instagram on Friday which revealed the whereabouts of Dhoni.
So, the CSK captain is in his hometown i.e. Ranchi. MS Dhoni is enjoying his time off the field with his family and his best companions, his dogs. In the video shared by Sakshi Singh, the CSK captain was seen playing with his dogs while his daughter Ziva also stood by his side.

Now, as the next edition of the Indian Premier League is almost a year away, fans might get to see MS Dhoni in action then. But that is not certain too. The Chennai Super Kings skipper underwent surgery on his knee and is still recovering from it. Also, Dhoni will be 42 years of age in July this year.
The CSK captain himself did not clarify if he will play in IPL 2024 or not. However, Dhoni assured that he will be involved with CSK in some or other capacity. “Looking for an answer? Circumstantially if you see, this is the best time to announce my retirement.
“But the amount of love and affection I have been shown wherever I have been this year, the easy thing would be for me to say “Thank you very much”, but the tough thing for me is to work hard for another 9 months and come back and play at least 1 more season of IPL. A lot depends on the body, I have 6-7 months to decide,” Dhoni had said after IPL 2023 Final.
So, only the CSK skipper will decide if he will play in IPL 2024 or not.
