Gujarat Titans (GT) players are all set to wear lavender-colored kits during their last home match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 15 in support of the fight against cancer. Hardik Pandya and Co. will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on that day.

As per a release, GT chose lavender as the color to show their support because it symbolizes all types of cancer and serves as a powerful reminder of the many lives affected by this malignant disease. The aim is also to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention, highlighting the important role lifestyle changes play in combating the disease along with regular screening for early detection that can reduce the risk of developing the disease.

Wearing lavender jerseys is our way of showing solidarity with cancer patients, survivors, and their families. We hope our actions will inspire others to take preventive measures and support those who are fighting this battle,” Pandya added.
