WI vs IND 2nd ODI

After taking a lead 1-0 in the three-match ODI series against West Indies, India will lock-horns with the same team for the 2nd ODI which is scheduled to take place today, on July 24 at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain. In the first match, India almost lost it after a combined team effort from the Windies batters. But, in the end, India won the match by three runs.

Shikhar Dhawan‘s Men in Blue will be eyeing to clinch the series while Nicholas Pooran‘s Windies will endeavour to tie the match. In the first ODI, Dhawan had scored a brilliant 97 runs but unfortunately missed the ton. India finished the innings with 308 runs.

West Indies batters Kyle Mayers and Sharmarh Brooks revived their innings with their 117-run stand for the second wicket after a staggering start. The middle batters had played crucial knocks when it seemed that India had got the upper hand.

But, in the end, West Indies needed only 15 runs in the penultimate over and Mohammed Siraj was handed the ball. He restricted the batters with four runs needing to win the match.
