Ravindra Jadeja established himself as one IPL’s most complete all rounders over the years at Chennai Super Kings. He was always a superb bowler, but in recent years he has shown what he can do with the bat as well. Playing a huge role in Chennai Super Kings’ victories in IPL 2018 and 2021. However, will the player remain with the franchise in 2023 is a huge doubt.

Ravindra Jadeja was announced the captain of the side 2 days before IPL 2022 began. Chennai last 6 of their 8 games under Jadeja who eventually stepped down as captain, citing that it was too pressuring and started affecting his person game. What followed for the player was even worse. He got injured in Chennai’s game against SRH and was eventually released by the team.

Ravindra Jadeja was reportedly ‘Unhappy and hurt’ by CSK team management

Sources close to the player had told Ravindra was extremely hurt by the way the entire captaincy was handled. Many fans even believed that Jadeja’s injury was exaggerated and the player was forced out of the tournament following his fall out with the management. CSK’s social media handles went on to unfollow the player as well which just aded fuel to the fire.

Jadeja’s performances through out the season didn’t help either. In 10 games, Jadeja only managed to score 116 runs and take wickets. As opposed to the 227 runs scored and 13 wickets he took in Chennai’s road to 4th IPL triumph last year.

However, in the most recent news, as reported by ESPN Cricinfo, Chennai are likely to have MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja in their team next year with the former all set to lead the team again. While Dhoni has already revealed his intentions for the next year, Ravindra Jadeja has not made any statement about the situation yet.
