India A kickstarted their Emerging Asia Cup campaign with a dominating win against UAE A. On the back of skipper, Yash Dhull’s century and Harshit Rana’s four-fer India A registered a massive 8-wicket win in their inaugural match.
UAE were restricted to a meager 175 runs in their 50 overs courtesy of some exceptional bowling from the Indian side. After losing the openers early, Nikin Jose and skipper Yash Dhull stitched a 100-run stand to take India to a win. Dhull scored an unbeaten 108 runs off 84 balls where he hit a whopping 20 boundaries and one six.
The Emerging Asia Cup began on the 13th of July and is being held in Sri Lanka. India have sent in a 15-member squad with all players under the age of 23, giving the young guns of the country another chance of International exposure.
