WATCH: “You’re okay to talk to me right?”- Sanjay Manjrekar asks Ravindra Jadeja after IND vs PAK clash; Here’s why he asked
Sanjay Manjrekar and Ravindra Jadeja
The much-awaited India vs Pakistan clash ended up in the former’s favour as they defeated Men in Green by five wickets on Sunday, August 28 at the Dubai International Staidum.
After the match when former India player Sanjay Manjrekar was doing his post-match duties, he had to interview Ravindra Jadeja. Before any match related question, he ended up asking if Jadeja is comfortable in talking to him.
Manjrekar said: “I have got Ravindra Jadeja here with me, first question, you are okay to talk to me Jaddu right?”
To this, Jadeja cheekily replied: “Yeah, yeah. Absolutely. I do not have any problem.” Jadeja’s response left both of them in splits.
“We wanted to play till the end, they have a very good bowling attack, their fast bowlers don’t give anything away. I could have finished the game but Hardik played superbly. He (Pandya) came out, he was very clear in his head and said he was going to play his shots, and I am happy that he stayed till the end.”

Durig 2019 World Cup, Sanjay Manjrekar had called Jadeja a “bits and pieces” cricketer. Ravindra Jadeja then took to his social media and wrote, “Still I have played twice the number of matches you have played and I m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved. I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea. @sanjaymanjrekar.”
Hardik Pandya played the winning shot, helping India avenge last year’s defeat in T20 World Cup by 10 wickets. Pandya scored 33 runs in just 17 balls that included four boundaries and a six. But one cannot forget the contributions of Jadeja. He scored 35 runs off 29 balls with two boundaries and two sixes. His and Pandya’s partnership pf 52 runs for the fifth wicket added stability to India’s innings when India lost three quick wickets.
