Chahal first stumped off Venkatesh Iyer in his first delivery. Prior to this wicket, in his third over Chahal had taken Nitish Rana’s wicket. Now he was one the verge of a hat-trick. But Sheldon Jackson, who the next batsman, saw off the delivery safely.

Then Chahal trapped Shreyas (85) Iyer with a lbw then. He then sent back Shivam Mavi for a duck and Pat Cummins, who played an outside-edge, was caught by wicket-keeper Sanju Samson. The 31-year-old finished the over with 4 wickets and 2 runs, one of which came from a wide.
