India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal revealed what he thinks about the captaincy of MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya. Chahal has played under four captains, Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and now Pandya. Pandya is leading the Men in Blue in the three-match T20I series against West Indies.

Ahead of the match, Chahal was asked how he would describe playing under different captains. The 33-year-old said that the focus on winning matches remains the same despite the changes in captaincy, and called Dhoni the eldest brother.

I see it this way- You have four brothers in your family. MS Dhoni was the eldest brother, then came Virat, Rohit, and now Hardik. The equation remains the same. Nothing changed. On the ground, everyone wants their team to win. He gives us freedom as a bowler,” said Chahal at the pre-match press conference.

He added that Pandya, like Dhoni, now gives freedom to the bowlers. Chahal thinks that Pandya only gives his input to the bowlers when the plan doesn’t work properly.

The second T20I is to start on Sunday (August 6) at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. India under stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya would try to win this match somehow because losing it means India losing the three-match series.

In the first match, India failed to reach the 150-run target. West Indies, with the help of Nicholas Pooran‘s 48 off 32 and Rovman Powell‘s 48 off 32, took West Indies to 149/6 in 20 overs.

Later, after the failures of Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill, Tilak Veram tried to shoulder the responsibilities to take India to the target but just missed scoring four runs.
