Zimbabwe thrashed Pakistan by one run in a thriller contest to get two crucial points on Thursday [October 27]. Babar Azam‘s Men in Green are still searching for points in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. In their first match, they were thrashed by India by four wickets and now that Pakistan have two defeats, it’s looking rather difficult for the team to bounce back to remain in the tournament.
Despite Pakistan’s shocking defeat, the cricket fraternity just couldn’t stop laughing at one thing that has been trending since yesterday. It’s about Mr Bean aka Rowan Atkinson‘s doppelganger “fake Pak Mr Bean “. The incident started when Pakistan Cricket Board‘s official Twitter handle shared a couple of pictures of their players training ahead of their clash against Zimbabwe.
A user name Ngugi Chasura replied to the tweet saying nothing could save Pakistan from the defeat except rain. He went on to explain in couple of tweets about a fake Pak Bean who fooled the Zimbabweans by stealing money from a flop comedy show.
“As Zimbabweans we wont forgive you…you once gave us that Fraud Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean Rowan ..we will settle the matter tomorrow just pray the rains will save you…#ZIMVSPAK,” wrote Chasura.
“They gave us Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean on one of our local events called agriculture show,” he added in another tweet before sharing the image of the fake Pak Bean in the next tweet.
Zimbabwe President and Pakistan PM also joined the banter surrounding fake Pak Bean
After Zimbabwe defeated Pakistan by one run, Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa took to Twitter and humorously trolled Pakistan for not sending the real Mr Bean. Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif replied that their country may not have the real Mr Bean but their cricketing team has a funny habit of bouncing back before congratulating the Zimbabwean team
“What a win for Zimbabwe! Congratulations to the Chevrons. Next time, send the real Mr Bean…#PakvsZim,” wrote Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
“We may not have the real Mr Bean, but we have real cricketing spirit ..and we Pakistanis have a funny habit of bouncing back 🙂 Mr President: Congratulations. You team played really well today,” Pakistan PM Sharif replied.
