“Not really my cup of tea” – MS Dhoni on his Bollywood plans

MS Dhoni
One of the most stylish cricketers of all-time and former India skipper MS Dhoni has sidelined all possibilities of him making a Bollywood debut. MSD, who is a popular name in the advertising world, talked about his films’ plans during a recent interaction with the fans on Tuesday (October 5) to celebrate the 75th year of India Cements (owner of Chennai Super Kings).
He said, “You know Bollywood is not really my cup of tea. As far as advertisements are concerned, I am happy to do them. When it comes to movies, I feel it’s a very tough profession and very difficult to manage. I would let the film stars do it because they are really good at it. I will stick to cricket. The closest I can come to acting is advertisements and nothing more than that.”
MS Dhoni hints at playing in IPL 2022

CSK’s current skipper MS Dhoni, who is in the twilight of his professional cricket career, has almost assured to play in the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well. The veteran cricketer reckoned that he hopes to play his last game in the cash-rich league in front of fans in Chennai.
“There cannot be a better day than that (announcement of his retirement from international cricket on August 15). When it comes to farewell, you can always come and see me play for CSK and that can be my farewell game. You will still get an opportunity to bid me farewell so hopefully, you will come to Chennai, I will play my last game there and I can meet all the fans,” Dhoni said during India Cements’ 75 years function.
The Chennai-based franchise is currently dominating the Points Table of IPL 2021 with the second spot after nine wins in 13 games. On the other hand, MSD is struggling with his batting performance as the veteran wicketkeeper-batter has managed to amass just 84 runs from 13 games at an underwhelming strike rate of 97.67.
