The 2023 Asia Cup will be contested in a hybrid format between August 30 and September 17 in Sri Lanka and Pakistan. A total of six teams will participate in the continental competition, which will be contested in the ODI format. Asia Cup 2022 was played in T20I format. Group A consists of India, Pakistan, and Nepal, while Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

The Asia Cup 2023 will begin in Multan with a Group B match between Pakistan and Nepal.The top two teams from each group advance to the Super Fours. This round will consist of six matches followed by the final at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

1. Muthiah Muralidaran (Sri Lanka)

Muthiah Muralidaran is one of the best bowlers in the history of cricket. In 24 Asia Cup matches, he took 30 wickets at an economy rate of 3.75 and an average of 28.83. He was a member of the Sri Lankan team that won the Asia Cup in 1997, 2004 and 2008.

2. Lasith Malinga (Sri Lanka)

Lasith Malinga is the second person on the list. Especially in white ball cricket, he is one of the best pacers in Sri Lanka. From 2004 to 2018, Malinga featured in five editions and collected 29 wickets with an economy rate of 4.65 and an average of 20.55. He was the top wicket-taker in 2010 and 2014 and won the tournament with Sri Lanka in 2004 and 2014.

3. Ajantha Mendis (Sri Lanka)

Mendis assisted Sri Lanka in winning the Asia Cup in 2008 and 2014.

4. Saeed Ajmal (Pakistan)

Saeed Ajmal is the only bowler in the top five who is not from Sri Lanka. Between 2008 and 2014, Ajmal took 25 wickets in 12 matches at an average of 19.25 and an economy rate of 4.20. In 2012, he was a member of the Pakistan team that won the Asia Cup.

5. Chaminda Vaas (Sri Lanka)

Chaminda Vaas, the fast bowler from Sri Lanka, completes the top five in the list of Asia Cup bowlers with the most wickets. He participated in the Asia Cup between 1995 and 2008. Vaas took 23 wickets at an average of 27.78 with an economy rate of 4.
