Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians suffered again. They are the only team in IPL who failed to win a single match after five successive losses. Chasing 199, Mumbai needed a brisk start but after some quick runs, they lost Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma. But then came the explosive ‘Baby AB’ aka Dewald Brevis who smashed and stunned everyone with 49 runs off 25 balls an over with successive sixes. But at the end Mumbai fell short of 12 runs and lost yet another match.

Virender Sehwag lauds Punjab Kings opener Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan and Virender Sehwag

Shikhar Dhawan scored a crucial 70 off 50 to help Punjab score a big total of 198 runs. Dhawan’s score against the Mumbai Indians is fantastic and he did that once again. Former India opener Virender Sehwag lauded Dhawan’s performance.

“Shikhar is a fantastic player. Form can be fickle at times. He loves scoring runs against his favorite team, which is Mumbai Indians. He scored against Mumbai when he was playing for Delhi Capitals.”

“I think scoring 70 in 50 balls is a little slow. Had he scored 85 in 50 balls, then the score would have reached around 215. That is the only shortcoming, I think. Had he stayed till the end he would have pushed the score further but he was dismissed. Gabbar is Gabbar and teams should be scared of him,” Sehwag said while talking about Dhawan’s innings on Cricbuzz.
