Rahul Chahar throws sunglasses
A big test awaits India as the subcontinental giants look forward to touring South Africa for a three-match Test series. Ahead of the series, India A is currently touring South Africa and Rahul Chahar has hogged the headlines during the first unofficial Test for all the wrong reasons. The budding leg spinner had an ugly spat with the on-field umpire over an LBW appeal.
Chahar had a tough outing as he bowled a total of 28.3 overs and conceded 125 runs as South Africa A piled a humongous 509 runs on the board. The leggie picked up just one wicket. Meanwhile, Navdeep Saini and Arzan Nagwaswalla shared two wickets each, while India’s newest pace sensation Umran Malik bagged one.

The incident happened on the final delivery of the 128th over of South Africa A innings on Day 2 as wicket-keeper batter Sinethemba Qeshile looked to defend Rahul Chahar. The ball hit Qeshile around the knee roll but Chahar was confident and went up a huge appeal.
The umpire wasn’t convinced and Chahar wasn’t happy with the call. The 22-year-old snapped at the official and threw away his sunglasses in anger. The umpire was seen having chat with Chahar after his instinctive reaction and the leggie kept arguing that it was out indeed. Chahar ended up conceding the most number of runs among the Indian bowlers.
In reply to the Proteas gigantic first innings total, India got off to a blistering start with opener Prithvi Shaw scoring quickfire 48 runs in just 45 balls. Skipper Priyank Panchal fell for a well made 96, while Abhimanyu Easwaran scored 103. The visitors are trailing by 201 runs as rain has stopped play on the final day.
