Rahul Chahar gives fans a glimpse of his Mehendi ceremony

Rahul Chahar got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Ishani Johar at the age of 20 in 2019. Ishani is a Bengaluru based fashion designer. The duo will tie the knot on March 9 at a destination wedding in Goa on Wednesday. Their reception ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 12 at Radisson Hotel in Agra.

“Soon to be the beginning of our “forever”! Day 1 filled with the colours of mehndi. The love is blooming!!” wrote Chahar on his Instagram post.

The love-birds have been with each other since their teenage days. After being in a relationship for three years, they got engaged in 2019.

As Rahul’s family has started doing the wedding preparation in Goa, big faces of Indian cricket as well as Mumbai Indians players and other IPL players will join Rahul’s wedding. Deepak Chahar will also join the wedding. Rahul Chahar and Glenn Maxwell are the two players to get married before the IPL 2022.

Nita Ambani, the wife of Mukesh Ambani is the owner of the Mumbai Indians franchise, where Rahul had represented previously for five seasons. His performance in that franchise got him under the limelight. Speculations are being made of Neeta Ambani’s attending Rahul’s wedding.

The Leg-spinner is the cousin of Team India’s all-rounder and Chennai Super King’s Deepak Chahar. The Agra-based 22-year-old Chahar made his IPL debut in 2017, representing Rising Pune Supergiants. Since then, he was a part of Mumbai Indians.

Overall, he bagged 43 wickets in 42 matches in the IPL. He also made his international debut for Indian cricket team in August 2019. In the recent mega auction, he was sold for a price of Rs 5.25 crore to the Punjab Kings captained by Mayank Agarwal.
