In what seemed like a really one-sided contest, Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore easily defeat Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets with 17 balls remaining. While this is RCB’s second consencutive win, RR lost their third straight match in the second leg of IPL 2021.

Batting first, Rajasthan Royals got off to a great start at scored 100 runs in just 11 overs because of a quick fire knock from their opener, Evin Lewis. However, the middle order completely collapsed and skipper, Sanju Samson, too didn’t get many runs on the board today. The team barely managed to play 20 overs and posted a total of just 149 runs. Purple cap holder, Harshal Patel once again took three wickets in the innings.

Chasing 150 runs, Royal Challengers Bangalore secured an easy victory. Glenn Maxwell scored a good fifty and anchored the innings really well to pull of the seventh win for RCB in the season.

With this triumph, RCB have maintained their third position in the points table of IPL 2021. On the other hand, RR have have slipped down to the seventh spot and now needs to win every match in order to bag a position inside the top-4.
