Watch: Saurabh Tiwary takes a stunner to dismiss Moeen Ali in CSK vs MI match

Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians are up against each other in the first match of the second phase of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The match between the two sides commenced with CSK skipper MS Dhoni winning the toss and opting to bat first.

The Super Kings have suffered an annihilation while playing at the Dubai International Stadium. The team got off to a horrible start in the match as they lost their opening batsman Faf du Plessis in the first over only to Trent Boult. After the initial hiccup, the three-time champion quickly lost their second wicket also as Moeen Ali walked back to the pavilion on a duck.

It was a combined effort by Adam Milne and Saurabh Tiwary that helped Mumbai Indians is sending Ali back to the pavilion. On the third ball of the first over, Milne bowled a slightly short ball to Moeen. The all-rounder reached out for the ball with a slap but the ball landed in the hands of Tiwary who was standing at the cover.

It was a fantastic effort by Saurabh as he grabbed it just inches above the ground. The brilliant catch by the Indian batsman put an end to Ali’s innings as he was dismissed for a three-ball duck.

In the end, CSK ended up with 156 runs on the scoreboard in their 20 overs. Though there was a collapse of the batting line-up, the opening batter Ruturaj Gaikwad showed his character and mettle. The right-hander smashed 88 runs off 58 deliveries to help CSK put up a good fight.
