Mr. Shah Rukh Khan, the owner of IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, praised the brilliance of star player Pat Cummins, who set a record on April 6th by smacking the joint-fastest 50 in the IPL, which came off in just 14 balls.
Pat Cummins, who was playing his first IPL game of the season after missing the first two due to international commitments, walked out with all guns blazing with the bat and snatched the game away from the Mumbai Indians to lead his team to victory.
Cummins, who is more than just a handy batter, wreaked havoc with the bat against Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians at the MCA Stadium in Pune. He smashed MI bowlers to all four corners of the ground, equaling KL Rahul’s record for the fastest IPL fifty. In the 2018 IPL, Rahul scored a half-century off 14 balls against the Delhi Capitals (DC).
Cummins’ knock was noteworthy for several reasons. His knock came at a crucial time for his team, as KKR was losing wickets at an alarming rate. Pat batted brilliantly, scoring 56 off 15 balls with four fours and six sixes.
Meanwhile, as soon as Pat Cummins reached his fifty off 14 balls, social media was flooded with incredible reactions from fans. Several cricketers and experts also praised the stylish cricketer on Twitter. Shah Rukh Khan, on the other hand, had one of the best tweets.
