Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi starred in his side’s much-anticipated clash with India in the T20 World Cup 2021. Afridi picked up three wickets in the game to emerge as the Player of the Match. India’s star batsmen Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli all fell prey to the budding left-arm pacer.
Shaheen Afridi produced a lethal spell with the new ball as India’s top order crumbled away allowing the Pakistan bowlers to dictate terms in the middle overs. Despite Kohli’s well-paced half-century, India managed just 150 runs on a great batting track as Pakistan openers chased it down in just 18 overs to complete a comprehensive victory.

Shaheen Afridi was stationed near the boundary line in Sharjah during Pakistan’s match against Namibia. The Pakistan fans began chanting Rohit’s name and in return, Afridi enacted the manner in which he trapped him LBW. The very next delivery, he mocked KL Rahul’s dismissal in a similar way as the fan’s urged. Rahul was castled by a vicious inswinger.
As the Pakistani quick obliged their requests, the fans started chanting Kohli’s name and Afridi enacted his dismissal too. The Indian skipper was caught out trying to muscle Shaheen over the boundary. The quick outfoxed him with a slow bouncer as Kohli was caught behind following a great innings.
Shaheen Afridi has scalped six wickets in five matches for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup so far, bowling at a fairly impressive economy rate of 6.70. Led by the youngster, the Pakistani pace battery has been phenomenal having scalped 19 wickets in five games. The Men in Green were the first team to qualify for the semifinals and will be facing Australia.
