During a discussion about the wicketkeeper batter, Saurashtra player Sheldon Jackson was referred to as a foreign cricketer. Jackson is a member of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) squad for the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) and was purchased for INR 60 Lakhs in the 2022 IPL mega auction last month.
However, a panelist, Rahul Rawat, issued a clarification tweet in which he stated that Jackson was never referred to as an overseas cricketer. The panelist also encouraged all fans to watch the entire video and stated that he is aware of Sheldon’s accomplishments in the sport of cricket.
“I never mentioned Sheldon Jackson as a foreign player in this clip or the entire show.” My fault for not noticing when he was referred to as a “overseas entrant.” “Please watch the entire show because I am well aware of Sheldon’s achievements for Indian cricket,” senior journalist Rahul Rawat tweeted.

Nonetheless, Sheldon Jackson retweeted a photo of the state of Saurashtra. While Pujara has 21 Ranji Trophy centuries for Saurashtra, Sheldon Jackson has 17 three-figure scores.
“Saurashtra-born player with the most Ranji Trophy centuries.” (Birthplace of Ranjitsinhji) 21: Cheteshwar Pujara Sheldon Jackson is number seventeen. Only Pujara has more hundreds than Sheldon,” read the tweet, which Jackson retweeted. The tweet is shown below.
Jackson has amassed impressive statistics in first-class cricket. The right-hander has played 79 first-class matches and scored nearly 6000 runs. Jackson’s runs have been scored at a rate of more than 50 per game. In his first-class career, the Saurashtra batsman has also scored 19 hundreds and 31 fifties. It remains to be seen whether he is given a fair chance in the IPL 2022.
