The 20th match of IPL 2022 is being played between Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants (RR vs LSG) on 10 April i.e. Sunday. This is the second match of the double header. In this match, captain KL Rahul won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, RR team scored 165 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs and set LSG a target of 166 runs to win.
After losing the toss, Rajasthan Royals, who batted first, started the innings in today’s match for a new opening pair, Devdutt Padikal came in place of Yashasvi Jaiswal with Jos Buttler today. Both players put on 42 runs for the first wicket to give the team a strong start, with Jos Buttler losing the first wicket in the last over of the powerplay as the Royals didn’t get a chance to recover.
Captain Sanju Samson’s wicket fell on the combined score of 60 runs, followed by a flurry of wickets for the Royals. The crucial wickets of Devdutt and Rasi van der Dussen were lost within just 7 runs. In such a situation, Rajasthan did not seem to be moving towards any big score. But Shimron Hetmyer and Ravichandran Ashwin were seen giving their all in this innings for the 5th wicket partnership. Both the players together scored 68 runs, due to which the Royals achieved the figure of 165 runs.

Shimron Hetmyer and Ravichandran Ashwin saved Rajasthan’s honor by playing “tuk tuk” innings against LSG. Continuing his good form, the West Indies’ explosive batter smacked his 3rd IPL fifty as Rajasthan Royals posted a total of against Lucknow Super Giants. Ravi Ashwin retired in this match and went back. He scored 28 runs in 23 balls with the help of 2 fours. In the end, Shimron Hetmyer started raining fours and sixes. In this match, he scored an unbeaten 59 runs in 36 balls with the help of 6 sixes and 1 four.
It is noteworthy that Shimron Hetmyer was dropped by Krunal Pandya when he was just 14. Riyan Parag, who came to bat in place of Ashwin, was dismissed for 8 while Trent Boult remained unbeaten on 2 runs. Devdutt Padikkal was the second-highest scorer for the Royals with 29 off 29 while opening the innings.
For LSG, Krishnappa Gowtham and Jason Holder picked up 2 wickets each while Avesh Khan managed 1 wicket.
