Shoaib Akhtar gives Pakistan 3 hilarious tips to stop India in T20 World Cup

Shoaib Akhtar comments on India-Pakistan match

The wait for the all-important India vs Pakistan clash is almost over as the two sides are set to play each other today in Dubai. Meanwhile, former Pak speedster Shoaib Akhtar has shared three cheeky tips which might help the Babar Azam-led side emerge victorious against the ‘Men in Blue’.

During a recent interaction with Sportskeeda, Akhtar jokingly remarked that the Pakistani side should give sleeping pills to Virat Kohli and his men before the high-voltage match. He further added that his nation’s team must stop Kohli from using his Instagram handle and even requested India’s mentor, MS Dhoni, not to come and bat himself during the game.

“Give sleeping pills to India first. Second, stop Virat Kohli from using Instagram for two days (chuckles). And third, ask MS Dhoni to not come to bat himself, I am telling you he’s still the most in-form batter,” Shoaib Akhtar said in a hilarious response to the host’s question.

“Asif Ali might be the key player for Pakistan against India”

While answering on a serious note, the 46-year-old stated that asked the Pakistan openers to provide a good start and avoid playing as many dot balls during their innings. He also urged Pak’s bowling attack to be aggressive while defending a good total. The ‘Rawalpindi Express’ signed off while saying that middle-order batter Asif Ali could be Pakistan’s trump card on Sunday.

“Pakistan needs to open in a manner where you can get a good start. Then, Pakistan will have to avoid dot balls, play run-a-ball for 5-6 overs then take the strike rate up. And when it comes to bowling, if you have a good total, then make sure you are out there and take wickets.

“Asif Ali strikes well in the lower order. I think he can be a player to look out for,” he concluded.
