Shreyas Iyer, captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), was recently spotted sweating it out in the gym ahead of the team’s upcoming match in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2022). While working out, the cricketer wowed fans by putting his own spin on the popular ‘joro’ challenge.

Shreyas Iyer posted a video of the challenge on social media. The 27-year-old was seen performing airwalk pull-ups while matching the beats of the popular song. He wrote in the caption: “Anyone up for ‘joro’ challenge?.”

Iyer is one of the fittest Indian cricketers, and he frequently takes to social media to show his followers his workout routines. In this year’s cash-rich league, the player is currently leading the Kolkata Knight Riders. Iyer was acquired by the franchise for a whopping 12.25 crores during the IPL 2022 auction earlier this year.

So far in the latest edition of the T20 competition, the right-handed batter has played three matches. In IPL 2022, he has 59 runs at an average and strike rate of 29.50 and 134.09, respectively.

At this point, the KKR have won two of their first three matches. They currently sit second in the IPL points table, with four points and a net run rate of 0.843.

The two-time champions will play the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 14th league match of the season on Wednesday at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
